Thanksgiving at CML
Thanksgiving Day is a very special day for the US people, which is celebrated on the last Thursday in November. Everyone knows that families gather at a feast table and a lot of poultry is consumed, but what about its history?
We at LEPL Cadets Military Lyceum conducted a lesson about the day for the purpose of familiarizing students with culture and traditions of the US to develop a better understanding of a foreign way of life.
The lesson was very fun and engaging, it started with activating schemata about celebrations.
Then we did some vocabulary building exercises, which was followed by reading on the topic.
Students were actively involved as the topic is extremely engaging.
